“Comparing notes: the exchange of culture between Spain and the UK”

How fluid is the cultural exchange between the UK and Spain? Following our series of talks in 2009 this year we intend to delve deeper in that ever problematic issue of cultural exchange. Is it still a valid undertaking in the 21st century? Do cultural exchange efforts too often masquerade undercover agents for economic interests?

The panel will be made up of Robert Elms, writer and broadcaster, BBC; Joana Granero, Director London Spanish Film Festival; Silvia Terrón, writer and journalist; Dr. Dacia Viejo-Rose, University of Cambridge and Antonio Molina-Vazquez, Director of Spain NOW!.

This event will set the tone and the foundation for future conversations, which will take place regularly throughout the year, and which will continue to be documented by podcasts on our website.
