2013 HIGHLIGHTS – Chef Jose Pizarro takes over The Hospital Club

2012-09-18-pizarroPWF0362_web_0José Pizarro takes over The Hospital Club. Originally from a farm in Extremedura, Spain, José Pizarro first came to live in London fourteen years ago, and has been a pioneering force in authentic Spanish cuisine in the capital ever since.  As well as setting up and running the Brindisa tapas bars, he now has two of his own establishments:  the convivial sherry and tapas bar José, and larger restaurant Pizarro, both in Bermondsey and both widely acclaimed.  He appears regularly on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen and contributed to the series, Rick Stein’s Spain.

For one day only, he will run a pop-up at The Hospital Club – Spain NOW!’s central hub – in collaboration with the club’s permanent chef Duncan Cruickshanks.  One dish from this collaboration will remain on the menu for the duration of Spain NOW! 2013.
